This is a small place with limited seating and very casual. Do not let the appearance fool you. For the mood we were in, this place was perfect. We ordered at the counter, an Italian beef with Italian sausage add on, and a special of the day smoked salmon sandwich. Most everything here is scratch made. Our sandwiches and house cut fries were great. Only one other table occupied on a Monday Evening. The staff were very pleasant and chatted with us. They were playing some cool blues on the sound system. Eddy’s on Third is off the Main Street so it easy to park and has a real neighborhood feel to it. We waddled out full and happy, just as it ought to be.

I can't wait to go back! It seems like this place just knocks everything they make out of the park. The eddy sauce is a must with your fresh hand cut fries. The burgers that went by looked great, as well as the cheese curds! My Italian beef was excellent along with the au jus. The ideas and quality of the food are really refreshing. Eddy was super nice and spent a few minutes chatting about ideas and the way he does things. IT is a MUST stop when you are in Hayward. I can't wait to try the cream cheese on a burger the next time.

Absolutely loved our first experience at Eddy's on Third!! The atmosphere was very family/small town, and the woman working at the register was incredible -- so kind, helpful and friendly. The grilled cheese sandwich I had was the best I've EVER eaten, truly. My mom had the Italian beef sandwich and loved it! She would have preferred the bun to be a little less wet to start with, but overall the meal was excellent. Would definitely visit again!

Italian Beef is the bomb. Also the Philly cheese steak (please add to the menu ) Nashville Hot Chicken also delicious. Owners are super nice and accommodating. Clean diner feel.

Had the southwest chicken salad and it was great. Nice portions and lots of chicken. My wife had the cashew chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. The fries were awesome.

Owner was cool! Great food, great attitude, and great service. We showed up during a rush and the owner was cranking out the food all by himself. It was faster than I had hoped for and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the Ruben dippers and the olive burger!
